CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Committee for Young Physicians of APPNA calls for Abstracts from young physicians (students / residents / fellows / research associates) for the Annual APPNA summer meeting to be held in Washington, DC from June 25-June 29, 2008. Distinguished scholars and scientists would be among the panel of speakers. Faculty members are welcome to submit abstracts and present posters but would be not be eligible for the competition.
Three abstracts would be accepted for ORAL whereas another fifteen for POSTER presentations. Presenters should be able to present in-person to the panel of judges. All accepted abstracts for oral presentation would receive $250 each whereas the poster presenters would receive an honorarium of $100 each. In addition, each presenter will get free registration to the entire scientific meeting, free admission to all lunches, tea breaks and evening dinner programs and printed certificate of recognition. |

The best oral presentation would get a prize of $750 whereas the top three posters would get awards of $500, $300, and $200 respectively.
The deadline for abstract submission is midnight EST, May 20, 2008. All submissions would be reviewed by a committee and the authors of the selected abstracts be informed by May 31, 2008. All decisions of the committee would be final.
Submitted abstracts should be structured and must be composed of the following: Background, Hypothesis, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Each abstract will be allowed a maximum limit of 350 words in addition to a table or a figure.
For the first time ever, we are introducing a completely online submission process. YPPRC takes pride in this new initiative and would welcome any feedback which you may have.
